Lightbulb Hotkeys for Hero Skillbars

Dear Arena.Net -
Could you please implement a schema for hot-keying equipped Hero skills (perhaps in a regularly scheduled game update)?
Here is a suggested (if not ideal) schema:

Hero in party location 1 = Shift + the numbered keys 1 through 8

Hero in party location 2 = Alt + the numbered keys 1 through 8

Hero in party location 3 = Shift + alt + the numbered keys 1 through 8

This would allow players to overcome AI shortcomings by keying the preferred usage of the Hero's skills. Clicking on their miniaturized skill bar is too clunky of an interface during combat, IMO.

That would be very helpful.
I would really like to see that. For me, the hero skill bars take too much space in the screen. I could easly close 1 or 2 with this.

I always thought that would work better than opening the hero skills.

Nice idea... but Ctrl + 1-8 is already assigned to me using my own skills and telling my team what i do :-)

Red face Doh!

dunno what I was thinking suggesting ctrl + 1 through 8! I call targets so often with those that I can't seem to stop even when I'm grouped with other players and work the back line...

SO strike that moment of idiocy.....

how about Shift + Alt + 1 through 8 for the Hero in party position 3?

Frankly I don't care what the hotkeys are, as long as there are some and they're not too much of a vulcan neck pinch to key them... we don't want carpul tunnel lawsuits on our hands...

*** I edited the original suggestion to adjust for my fauxpas....

Signed but maybe instead of shift,alt,shift+alt. I feel this might work better:

f1 = Your skillbar
f2 = hero in slot1
f3 = hero in slot2
f4 = hero in slot3

A good idea. I'd personally use the useless Home/End/pg up/pg dn keys, but that'll be re-bindable later on anyways, so it's no big deal whatever keys are used. I really hate using those stupid little boxes to activate hero skills.

Default Cool Idea

I would definetly like to see some more control over Hero Actions, I think it is a concept.

Some automation control would be nice as well, such as adding Logic Functions to control when a Hero casts what on who. Say if a character is below 50% health you can prioritize the casting of a spell on that ally above all other allies and spells.

They should let us freely bind keys, even moving the 'target' kets from Ctrl to others.

I still prefer using the number pad

Hero 1: 1 2 3
Hero 2: 4 5 6
Hero 3: 7 8 9
